The emergence
Touch DJ was founded in 2010 by Wim de Jong (aka Kenny Large). He started DJing in the year 2001 at the 'Chocolate bar' in the Pijp Amsterdam, in combination with many successful corporate events. In 2010 it was time for our founder to take on an additional challenge. He saw a video on the internet of a young person with a holographic DJ booth, controlled by touch, and thought wow! He then contacted this person, who said that it was not for sale, but that he was willing to make the software available. After a lot of thinking and testing, he developed the necessary hardware himself to bring the current Touch DJ booth to its full glory. After several try-outs it was time to give a demo for potential customers from the events industry. From that moment there was no turning back, success was born!
